Change default drive where documents and settings located
Windows 2000 / Windows XP

Open Regedit and locate the key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList]

Look at the value 'ProfilesDirectory' which normally has the value '%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings'

Change this value to 'D:\Documents and Settings' for example.

Now create a new account with admin rights and log on using the new account.

Make sure that hidden files and folders are visible in windows explorer.

Copy 'All Users' and 'Default User' from 'C:\Documents and Settings' to 'D:\Documents and Settings'
(You may need to create 'D:\Documents and Settings')

From now on, any new accounts will be created under 'D:\Documents and Settings'.

It will be necessary to delete any existing accounts and recreate them otherwise their profile will remain on C:
